Dr. Casarin nasceu em 1962 na cidade de Piracicaba, São Paulo. Graduou-se em Agronomia pela Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias/UNESP, Jaboticabal, em 1986 e em Engenharia Florestal pela Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz"/USP, Piracicaba, em 1994. Concluiu o mestrado em Solos e Nutrição de Plantas em 1994, na Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz". Recebeu o título de Doutor em Ciência do Solo pela École Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier, França, em 1999. Foi professor nos cursos de Agronomia e Engenharia Florestal na Universidade de Taubaté e Faculdade de Agronomia e Engenharia Florestal de Garça. Trabalhou como consultor técnico na área agrícola e florestal, coordenando o desenvolvimento de pesquisa e novos produtos para empresas do setor de fertilizantes. Colabora como professor dos cursos de especialização em Manejo do Solo, na Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz"/USP, e em Manejo e Fertilidade do Solo do Cerrado, no Centro Universitário de Patos de Minas (UNIPAM). Atualmente é diretor adjunto do International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI), Programa Brasil.
The International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) is a not-for-profit, scientific organization dedicated to responsible management of plant nutrients – N, P, K, S, and others – for the benefit of the human family. IPNI, which officially began operating January 1, 2007, is funded by fertilizer industry member companies and affiliates from around the world. With headquarters in Norcross, Georgia, U.S.A., IPNI has established effective programs led by scientific staff in many important global regions. The purpose is to help provide a coordinated scientific foundation for fertilizer nutrient use and to scientifically address associated environmental issues.
