This project has been developed through the collaboration of several organizations and institutions at Santa Cruz. The first season (2004), the experiments were oriented towarsd sugarcane, and were developed by CITTCA.
Since 2005, the network has established a series of six experiments mainly concentrated in the northern region of Santa Cruz in rotations where soybean is the main crop. Research studies the effects of P, S, and K on crop yields, and explore responses to micronutrients (B, Cu, Zn). These experiments are carried out by FUNDACRUZ, a farmer's organization of Santa Cruz with the support of local ag companies. IPNI provides leadership in planning the experiments, data analysis, and reporting. |
