Can foliar fertilization with nitrogen (N) alone or in combination with phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) decrease the incidence of soybean diseases? In 2005, there was high incidence of brown spot at both of the sites included in the study. At one site, brown spot incidence was reduced where fungicide and foliar fertilizer were applied in combination, but not when applied separately. Also at this site, foliar fertilization applied during early reproductive stages produced the highest soybean yield. Results across sites were not consistent.
