Yield maximization under a rice-soybean cropping system, 1997

The rainfed Konkan region of Majarashtra grows successful mono-crops during Kharif season. In areas with assured irrigation, multiple cropping and increased agricultural production are now being introduced. Yield maximization experiments showed, in rice, application of 200-75-100 kg/ha N-P2O5-K2O produced 5.9 t/ha. Subsequent soybean crop yields were maximized at 1.7 t/ha by applying 40-150-100 kg/ha N-P2O5-K2O. NWZ INDIA-21B
