Justification
Objectives
Methodology

      • Soil analyses - to measure and evaluate soil fertility characteristics of representative soils of Central Vietnam.
      • Pot trials - to measure and evaluate short-term crop response to major plant nutrients and dolomitic limestone.
      • Homogeneity tests - to evaluate soil variability at the selected on-farm experimental sites in Phu Oc Village, Huong Tra District.
      • On-farm experiments - to recapitalize soil fertility and study crop response to application of farmyard manure (FYM), dolomitic limestone, and manufactured fertilizers in a crop rotation (spring groundnut-summer sesame-winter maize) over 3 years
      • On-farm demonstrations - to illustrate soil fertility recapitilization and sustainable production on marine, sandy soils for sugarcane, groundnut, food and cash crop rotations, as well on sustainable crop productivity on sloping lands (Phong An Village).
