Greenhouse survey studies for four Sichuan soils, 1995

Four soils (two acidic, two neutral) which were problematic regarding earlier nutrient response trials in Sichuan province are being re-evaluated for yield responses to each plant nutrient. Results to date indicate that the acidic soils require higher nutrient inputs than the neutral soils. Acidic soils responded positively to N, P, K and Mg whereas additions of S, Mn and Zn reduced yields. The neutral testing soils were determined to have relatively high nutrient levels but crops growing on them responded to additions of N, P, K, S and B. SICHUAN-11
