Soil and climatic conditions in much of Texas are favorable for growing high yields of good quality Coastal bermudagrass. Costal bermudagrass has high yield potential. Harvesting hay removes large amounts of plant nutrients. Soils are low in native fertility, but respond to application of plant nutrients.
