Effect of balanced fertilization on high yield, high quality and high efficiency agriculture, 1996
Maximum yield research for banana conducted in K deficient soils of Guangdong province found the best economic return with 900 kg K2O/ha plus sufficient rates of N and P. Significant improvements in yield were also achieved through higher plant populations. Increasing plant populations from 1500 to 2100 plants/ha while maintaining sufficient N, P and K resulted in 11.4 percent higher banana yields, reaching 42 t/ha. GUANGDONG-07
