Smallholder banana and homeyard production development in Lampung, 1995
The project's main objectives are to demonstrate the effects of judicious, balanced fertilizer use on the yields and income of 60 typical farm households growing tissue cultured banana, spice and vegetable crops. In 1995, banana production increased by 500 kg/tree while an additional income of US$600 was generated from the production of vegetables, herbal and medicinal plants. These results have attracted the attention of farmers outside the demonstration area. Demonstrations will expand to include more select farmers' groups in 1996. INDONESIA-14
