Objectives:
1) Develop principles and increase knowledge on effective nutrient management for rice and wheat in current production systems and in emerging conservation agriculture (CA) based systems
2) Facilitate the adoption and widespread uptake of improved nutrient management practices for rice and wheat
3) Develop guidelines, training materials, decision support tools, videos, and other materials based on SSNM principles
Work plan:
Output #1: Identify, evaluate, and implement improved nutrient management practices based on SSNM principles for rice and wheat in current production systems and in emerging CA-based technologies
Output #2: Develop nutrient management principles for rice and wheat in conventional and CA-based production systems
Output #3: Develop training materials, guidelines, videos, and other tools to promote practices based on existing SSNM knowledge
Output #4: Release evaluated decision-support tools for rice- wheat system that facilitate field-specific nutrient management in current and emerging CA-based systems (2010 onwards) |
