This is an important and timely research initiative. Because of both higher grain and fertilizer N prices there is a need to recalibrate the N fertilizer recommendations for North Dakota. Exisitng recommendations do not take into account regional soil and weather differences necessary to develop improved N fertilizer recommendations.
