Fall application of potassium (K) fertilizer is a practice that is commonly promoted. Anecdotal evidence and intuitive reasoning suggest this practice may be of value in helping bermudagrass better tolerate winter cold stress and provide improved early spring growth. However, there has been little investigation regarding the effect or benefits of fall K fertilization of hybrid bermudagrass. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of fall-applied K fertilizer on hybrid bermudagrass dry matter (DM) production. |
