Brassica juncea is a relatively new crop for southeastern Australia, but there is little known about the N management of this crop relative to cereals or canola. A glasshouse screen was undertaken of a larger germplasm set to assess differences in N uptake among this germplasm. Also a field experiment was initiated in Horsham to investigate the N response and NUE of two canola and two juncea varieties.
