Smallholder banana and homeyard production development in Lampung, 1996
Small on-farm demonstrations were extended to four villages in the Sumatran province of Lampung. The benefits of improved germplasm supplied with adequate and balanced amounts of plant nutrients were demonstrated with bananas, vegetables and medicinal plants. As a result of the project, family income on small farms was improved by 20 percent. Plans for the final year (1997) involve the transfer of the project from small home-plots to plantations to measure the impact of these techniques in a larger context. INDONESIA-14
