Nutrition and Crop Management Effect on Banana Yield and Quality

Banana production can be profitable if high sustainable yields through time are obtained. This way farmers can stay competitive even under the conditions of fluctuating fruit prices in the international market. Nutrition and crop management are important factors to achieve those yields. During the last two decades abundant information on crop management and nutrition has been developed, unfortunately, this information is used partially or is not used in many banana farms. It is important to demonstrate how balanced nutrition and adequate crop management can maintain a profitable enterprise.
