Fertilizer BMPs for Midsouth Cotton
Members of the fertilizer industry, crop advisers, ag consultants, leading farmers, and extension workers wish to improve farm profitability while being good environmental stewards. The following News & Views publication was developed to expose current science-based fertilizer management practices in the Midsouth (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, western Tennessee, and the bootheel of Missouri). It offers an opportunity to evaluate current fertilizer management practices and it encourages improvements and progress. This fact sheet is part of an outreach effort in cooperation with the Foundation for Agronomic Research (FAR), with support through a USDA NRCS Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG).
